The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints owns and maintains a number of historic sites that are fun and educational to visit. Many are described in articles on this wiki.

California
- The Mormon Battalion Center at San Diego in San Diego, California.
Illinois
- Carthage Jail in Illinois where Joseph Smith and Hyrum Smith were martyred.
- Historic Nauvoo — the "city beautiful" built by the Latter-day Saints after they were driven from Missouri and before they migrated to Utah. [1]
New York Historic Sites
- Grandin Building — where the Book of Mormon was published.
- Hill Cumorah — where Joseph Smith met annually with the angel Moroni before being allowed to obtain the gold plates.
- Sacred Grove — where Joseph Smith prayed to know which church he should join.
- Whitmer Farm: Church Organization Site — Where the Church of Jesus Christ was first organized.
Ohio Historic Sites
- Kirtland, Ohio, the first gathering place of the Latter-day Saints, and where they built their first temple.
- Johnson Home — in Hiram, Ohio, where Joseph and Emma Smith lived for one year and where he received 16 revelations.
Missouri Historic Sites

- Priesthood Restoration Site in Oakland Township, Pennsylvania — where most of the Book of Mormon was translated; John the Baptist appeared to Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery in a nearby forest and restored the Aaronic Priesthood to the earth; Joseph and Oliver baptized each other in the Susquehanna River.

- Cove Fort Historic Site in Utah.
- Temple Square — (currently under renovation) home of the Salt Lake Temple, Church History Museum, Church History Library, Salt Lake Tabernacle, Assembly Hall, Lion House, Beehive house, the Family History Library, the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, the Church Office Building, the Church Administration Building, the Relief Society Building, the Conference Center, and gardens. Vermont Historic Sites
- Joseph Smith's Birthplace in S. Royalton, Vermont.
- Palmyra, New York and the Joseph Smith Family Farm, where Joseph Smith lived when he received his First Vision. It is part of the Sacred Grove site.

- Martin's Cove: Mormon Trail Site in Wyoming.
