The 'Forbidden Fruit' of the tree of knowledge in the books of Genesis and Moses is a symbolical term for which the true meaning has not yet been revealed. One of the most common suggestions from Latter-Day saints is that partaking of forbidden Fruit means speaking with Satan and his third (i.e. you may speak to all the stars of heaven, excepting Satan and his followers).
