Riplakish is a character in the Book of Mormon's Book of Ether. He was a wicked king over the Jaredites, committing many whoredoms before the Lord, including having many wives and concubines. He also heavily taxed his people, using the money to build many extravagant buildings. His rule over his people was heavy-handed, casting those into prison who wouldn't or couldn't pay his taxes and forcing them to labor for their survival. After forty years of reign, however, his people rebelled against him. In the war that followed, he was killed and his descendants were driven out of the land.[1]
He is also noted in the genealogy of Ether listed in the first chapter of the Book of Ether as being an ancestor of Morianton and the son of Shez.[2]
