In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church), a fireside is a church meeting that is not part of the ordinarily schedule meetings. Considered more of a special event, firesides are usually centered around one speaker speaking on a spiritually uplifting topic. Firesides are generally held in the evenings, with Sunday evening being the most common.
