Natalie Rhees Shupe is an artist who trained in oils since the time she was eleven years old. At Snow College she studied art under Osral Allred and Carl Purcell then earned her Bachelor of Fine Art degree in art education from Utah State University. She set her painting away while raising her family and focused instead on quilting—including teaching and designing.
She got back into painting when she took a workshop from John Poon. Since then, she has won several awards, including the 2012 Minerva Teichert Plein Air first place, the 2012 Heber Valley Paint Out second place, and the 2012 Ogden Arts Festival third place.
Shupe was born in Ogden, Utah, and makes her home in Liberty, Utah.
