Julie Hansen Olson is a children’s book illustrator and author. She illustrated The Princess Twins series, Hip, Hip, Hooray for Annie McRae (by Brad Wilcox), Herd of Cows, Flock of Sheep (by Rick Walton), The Chihuahua Chase (by A. E. Cannon), and The Opposites of My Jewish Year (by L. N. Dion). She is author and illustrator of Tickle, Tickle! Itch, Twitch! and Discover America: From Sea to Shining Sea, among several others.
She was born in Maryland into a large family of nine children. She earned her BFA in illustration from Brigham Young University. She and her husband are the parents of four children. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
