Ty Carter works in animation and is currently designer and color artist with Blue Sky Studios. He worked on Ice Age 4, Epic, and the 2015 Peanuts movie. He was an art intern with Pixar Animation Studios and worked on Toy Story 3, Cars 2, and Day and Night. In 2008 he was an artistic summer associate with the Walt Disney Animation Studios where he worked on Bolt.
Carter also teaches online through patreon.com/tycarter. In the past he taught at CGMA, SVS, AnimSchool, LAAFA, and School of Visual Arts.
Carter earned his bachelor’s degree in animation and illustration from Brigham Young University. At BYU, he directed and produced the award winning short film, DreamGiver. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
