Charlene Denberg Winters is a writer and editor. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Winters, a native of Blackfoot, Idaho, earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree from Brigham Young University, where she discovered her ability to write compelling stories. After graduating, she landed a job at the Provo Daily Herald, where she worked for seventeen years writing columns called “Kitchen Classics,” which always ended with a recipe and “Winters’ Tale,” where she shared her observations about life.

After her work at the Herald, she took a job at BYU with the Alumni Association. She was an alumni administrator for ten years and then alumni editor for BYU Magazine for nearly twenty years. After her retirement in 2016, she started her own writing and editing business, It’s Your Story.
