Mitch Mathews is a professional football player. The wide receiver is currently a free agent.
Mathews played for Brigham Young University from 2012 through 2015. He was redshirted in 2009 before serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, of which he is a member. After graduation he was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs on May 2, 2016, as an undrafted free agent. He was waived on August 30, 2016. The Cleveland Browns signed him to the practice squad on October 11, 2016. He was released on November 2, 2016. He signed with the Minnesota Vikings on March 30, 2017. He was waived on May 30, 2017. He then signed with the Miami Dolphins, his fourth National Football League team, on June 8, 2017, and waived on September 2, 2017.
