Mike Lookinland, a Salt Lake City, Utah, businessman, is well-known for his role as Bobby Brady in the classic situation comedy The Brady Bunch. He was required to dye and straighten his light brown, wavy hair to match the darker color of his Brady brothers and father, but during the last two seasons of the show’s run, he was able to leave his hair its natural color.
He had performed in approximately thirty television commercials prior to his casting. He appeared in Brady Bunch specials, such as A Very Brady Christmas (1988) and the short series The Bradys (1990). He worked as a television camera operator, even appearing in an uncredited role as a camera operator in the 2000 TV movie Growing Up Brady.
In addition to his performance in The Brady Bunch (1969–1974), he appeared in the Hollywood blockbuster The Towering Inferno and the TV show The Secrets of Isis. He voiced the character Oblio in the 1971 animated film The Point!.
Lookinland was born on December 19, 1960, in Mount Pleasant, Utah. He and his wife, Kelly, are the parents of two children. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
