Mary Lake is a volleyball player, most recently playing libero on the women’s team at Brigham Young University. In 2019, she was invited to a series of trainings with the USA National Volleyball Team before she was selected to join the team. She helped her team win the Volleyball Nations League title. She also helped the team earn a spot in the Olympics in Tokyo in the summer of 2020. She was the only member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on the team.

After the Olympics, she will continue her education in graduate school and will consider her professional options.

At BYU. she broke BYU’s career digs record; her career total is 1898. She was an All-American and received three WCC Player of the Week nominations.

Mary is a native of Palm Springs, California, and grew up playing volleyball both for the Rancho Valley Volleyball Club and Palm Springs High School.
