The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints owns and maintains a number of historic sites that are fun and educational to visit. Many are described in articles on this wiki.
- Historic Nauvoo — the "city beautiful" built by the Latter-day Saints after they were driven from Missouri and before they migrated to Utah. [1]
- Whitmer Farm: Church Organization Site — Where the Church of Jesus Christ was first organized.
- Palmyra, New York and the Joseph Smith Family Farm, where Joseph Smith lived when he received his First Vision. It is part of the Sacred Grove site.
- Sacred Grove — where Joseph Smith prayed to know which church he should join.[2]
- Temple Square — home of the Salt Lake Temple, Church History Museum, Salt Lake Tabernacle, Assembly Hall, Lion House, Beehive house, the Family History Library, the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, the Church Office Building, the Church Administration Building, the Relief Society Building, a visitors' center, and gardens. - Kirtland, Ohio, the first gathering place of the Latter-day Saints, and where they built their first temple.
- The Mormon Battalion Center at San Diego in San Diego, California.
- The pageants put on by church members.
- Carthage Jail in Illinois where Joseph Smith and Hyrum Smith were martyred.
- Cove Fort Historic Site in Utah.
- Independence, Missouri Visitors' Center
- Joseph Smith's Birthplace in S. Royalton, Vermont.
- Liberty Jail Historic Site where Joseph Smith and others were imprisoned.
- Martin's Cove: Mormon Trail Site in Wyoming.
