Elder Arnulfo Valenzuela is a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, whose members are often called Mormons.
He received this calling as a general authority of the Church in April 2013. Until that call, he was serving in the Fourth Quorum of the Seventy in México.
He was born in Chihuahua, México, and is married to Silvia Pilar De Porras. They have three children and live in Querétaro, México. Latter-day Saints do not train for the ministry as a professional career and leaders are chosen from ordinary members of the Church, serving as volunteers.
