LeAnna R. Fillmore is the conductor of the Bells at Temple Square. She was named conductor in June 2011 after serving as the associate conductor since the group was formed in 2005.
Fillmore earned her bachelor’s degree from Weber State University in music education with piano emphasis and music teacher education and her master’s degree in music from the University of Utah. She taught choir for close to forty years and is a retired choral teacher in the Jordan School District in Utah. She has served in many state and national positions including National Chair of the Choral Education council for NAfME from 2009 to 20014.
She has been honored with many national and state awards including the 2009 Huntsman Award. She is frequently a guest conductor and adjudicator.
