Tessa Meyer Santiago is a consumer rights attorney and personal essay writer. She taught creative and legal writing and oral advocacy at Brigham Young University for ten years.
She is a native of South Africa. She earned her master’s degree in English and a Juris Doctorate degree from BYU.
In addition to publishing her essays in BYU Studies, Dialogue, and Segullah, she publishes her writing on her blog. Her essay, “Take, Eat” won the BYU Studies Personal Essay Contest in 1997.
She and her husband are the parents of four children. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
