Brandon Manumaleuna is head coach of Leuzinger High School in California and a former professional football tight end. After playing for the University of Arizona, he was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the fourth round of the 2001 NFL Draft.
Brandon was born on January 4, 1980, in Torrence, California. His father, Frank Manumaleuna, played linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs from 1979 to 1981. At the age of 11, Brandon won the NFL’s Punt, Pass, and Kick Competition. While playing for Narbonne High in Harbor City, California, Brandon was selected second-team All-State as a defensive lineman. He also lettered in basketball and track.
He played for the St. Louis Rams from 2001 to 2005. On April 30, 2006, he was traded by the Rams to the San Diego Chargers, where he played until March 5, 2010, when he signed a five-year, $15 million deal with the Chicago Bears. He was released after one season on July 28, 2011.
He began coaching in September 2011 and was with Narbonne High School, his alma mater, for eight years.
Manumaleuna is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
