Ken Malquist is a show director for Disney Event Group at Walt Disney World. He works with companies that come to Disney to host private events. He did the same in 2019 when President Russell M. Nelson came to Florida to minister to the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in a devotional that was both live and telecast to members throughout the state.
“Malquist uses technology, fabrics, color palettes and music to immerse an eventgoer in an atmosphere to help send a message. In the past 20 years working for Disney, he also has helped bring to life numerous elements in the parks, resorts and on film and television, including fireworks displays, shows and other attractions.”[1]
He earned a degree in film and television production from Brigham Young University. While a student, he performed in the university’s traveling singing and dancing groups.
He filled an internship with Disney-MGM Studios.
