Boaz is the name of a city briefly mentioned in the Book of Mormon. The city is one of many that Nephites fled to in their final war with the Lamanites.
- And they fled again from before them, and they came to the city Boaz; and there they did stand against the Lamanites with exceeding boldness, insomuch that the Lamanites did not beat them until they had come again the second time. (Mormon 4:20)
Having lost the city of Desolation, the Nephites made their next stand at Boaz. They fought fiercely and repelled the Lamanites until the Lamanites came a second time and slaughtered the Nephites, with the women and children being sacrificed to pagan deities.
