Jan Underwood Pinborough is an author and editor. She has also written numerous songs that have appeared in publications of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. “Mary’s Lullaby,” which was arranged by Darwin Wolford appeared in the Children's Songbook. She wrote the lyrics to “A Key Was Turned in Latter Days,” which was included in the 1985 Hymns of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She cowrote—with James E. Faust—the words to the beloved “This Is the Christ.” Her hymns have also appeared in Church magazines such as the “Liahona,” “The Friend,” and “The New Era.”
