Zina Young Card Brown was the only daughter of Zina Young Williams Card who was the third wife of Charles Ora Card. She was a granddaughter of Brigham Young and Zina D. H. Young. She was born on June 12, 1888, in Cardston, Alberta, Canada.

Zina married Hugh B. Brown in 1908 and they had eight children. “His church and civic responsibilities took him often from home. During both world wars Zina was left to care for home and family while he served first in the Canadian Army, then as Latter-day Saint servicemen’s coordinator.”[1] She served with him when he was called to preside over the British Mission in 1937.

She suffered a stroke in 1966 which left her without the ability to speak and she died on December 19, 1974, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
