The Presiding Bishop is an ecclesiastical position in some denominations of Christianity. For a short period it was used in the Anglican Church of New Zealand. It is the presiding authority of the Episcopal Church in the United States of America, and The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America uses the term for its leader.

The Mormon Church Presiding Bishop is part of a Presiding Bishopric. The Presiding Bishop is selected through revelation by the First Presidency and then approved by the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.[1]
