Louisville Kentucky Mormon Temple

At the opening of the 180th General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, President Thomas S. Monson announced the construction of a new temple in Indianapolis, Indiana. It will be the first temple to be built in Indiana.

There are eleven stakes in Indiana, and these Latter-day Saints must currently travel 130 miles to the Louisville Kentucky Temple to attend.
