Jeffrey Scott Savage Mormon Writer

Jeffrey Scott Savage is the author of more than fifteen novels written for young adults and adults. He varies his pen name according to his intended audience: under J. Scott Savage he has penned the FarWorld fantasy series, the Case File 13 series, and the Mysteries of Cove series; under Jeffrey S. Savage he has created the Shandra Covington series and standalone volumes Cutting Edge, Into the Fire, The Fourth Nephite, and Dark Memories.

The 2018 Foreword Reviews' Indies Book of the Year awards gave him an honorable mention in the juvenile fiction category for Mysteries of Cove, volume 3: Embers of Destruction.

He was nominated twice for a Cybils Award (for Water Keep and Land Keep) and won the 2013 Whitney Award for adult speculative fiction (for Dark Memories). He gleaned a 2012 Starred Review from Kirkus Reviews for Zombie Kid, which was also a 2013 Junior Library Guild Selection and an Amazon Best Book of the Month.

He participated on Six LDS Writers and Frog, a blog founded by Sariah Wilson and written by Kerry Blair, Robison Wells, Stephanie Black and Julie Bellon.

Savage was born on January 31, 1963, in Oakland, California and was raised in northern California. He lived briefly in New Providence, New Jersey and now lives in northern Utah. He and his wife are the parents of four children. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
