Jordan McCollum: Mormon Author
After the success of I, Spy and Spy for a Spy, award-winning author Jordan McCollum penned two prequel novellas, Spy Noon and Mr. Nice Spy. She then published Spy by Night, a prequel novel, and the final book in the series, Tomorrow We Spy. Each of her novels in her spy series was a Whitney Award Finalist (2013, 2014). In October 2015, she released Saints and Spies.
In addition to writing, she teaches about writing. From 2011 to 2014, she was the Education Director for Authors Incognito, an online writers’ community for the LDStorymakers writing conference. She was also acting executive director from May to August 2013. She teaches writing through her blog and through her writing series, with titles that include Character Arcs: Founding, Forming and Finishing Your Character’s Internal Journey; Character Sympathy: Creating Characters Your Readers HAVE to Root For; and Character Depth: Keeping Readers Riveted with Real Characters, Emotions and Deep POV.
McCollum was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina, and earned her bachelor’s degree in American studies and linguistics, with minors in Spanish and English, from Brigham Young University. She, her husband, and five children live in Utah. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
