Kari Christensen Mormon Artist

Kari Christensen is a freelance illustrator and concept artist. He studied at The Art Students League of New York and earned his BFA in illustration from Brigham Young University.

He became obsessed with trolls and folktales at a young age while living in Norway. After university, he started his career at a games studio creating projects for Activision, creating "Pitfall" and other games, and Interactive Magic, where he did artwork for the Great Battles Series. He specializes in drawing fantasy, horror, and science fiction.

He then worked as an art director for three years, where he managed a department of over twenty designers and illustrators. During this time he began doing contract work with Games Workshop. He now works in the fields of publishing, games, and film. He also creates personal work and commissions for collectors.

He has created book illustration and game art for Black Library Publishing, Sabertooth Games, Games Workshop, Fantasy Flight Games, Bastion Press, Malhavoc Press, Alderac Entertainment Group, White Wolf, Wizards of the Coast , Eden Studios, Paizo Publishing and Sony Online Entertainment. Concept art and storyboards for BBDO New York, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Nitro Group NY, Precedence Entertainment, Sabertooth Games, NXTdream films, Morbid Industries, Still Night Monster Movies, and Turbine Entertainment Software.

He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His wife, Cambria Evans is an illustrator and author.
