Greg Newbold Mormon Artist

Greg Newbold is a freelance artist whose work has graced books, commercial products, and magazines. He also accepts private commissions and sells limited edition prints. His work has been exhibited in galleries.

Newbold has been an artist since childhood and his parents kept him stocked with all the supplies he wanted. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Art degree in illustration from Brigham Young University in 1992 while he was working as a graphic illustrator in the software industry.

He has illustrated several children’s books, including The Barnyard Night Before Christmas (2007), The Touch of the Master’s Hand (2007), Winter Lullaby (1998) and Spring Song (2001), Moonlight Serenade (2001), Pig Freefall (2007), Revelation (2009), and Attack of the Laundry (2009). His book covers include Toots and the Upside Down House (2001), Wheel (2004), Tree (2004), Dogland (2001), Bowman’s Line (1995), and Death of the Rivermaster (2003). His work has also appeared in textbooks. He counts Hogle Zoo, American Express, Pioneer Theatre Company, Sony, Smuckers, Kleenex, and Integrated Marketing Group among his corporate clients.

He has illustrated the covers of Boy’s Life Magazine, Liahona, This People, Friend Magazine, and New Era Magazine. Newbold is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
