Andrew Dalrymple

Andrew Dalrymple was a Latter-day Saint poet and lyricist. He wrote “The Starry Heavens,” which was published in The Contributor. He also wrote “O Lord of Hosts” (#178), which was included in the 1985 Hymns of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Dalrymple was born on May 25, 1817. He lived in Centerville, Utah, and married Caroline Holland. He died on February 22, 1890.
