Wilford W. Andersen was sustained a member of the Second Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 4, 2009. He was serving as a member of the Sixth Quorum of the Seventy in the North America Southwest Area at the time of his call. He has also served as president of the Mexico Guadalajara Mission (2002–2005), bishop, high councilor, stake president, Area Seventy, and full-time missionary in the Argentina South Mission.

He was released on October 5, 2019, and designated emeritus status. During his full-time service, he served in the Caribbean Area Presidency for five years and then as area president for two years. He also served in the Temple Department at Church headquarters and had leadership responsibilities in the Middle East/Africa North Area as well as in the Idaho and North America Central Areas.

Andersen was born on August 22, 1949, in Mesa, Arizona. He received both his bachelor’s degree in business management and a juris doctor degree from Brigham Young University. He practiced law early in his career, then worked in real estate development.

Andersen and his wife, Kathleen, are the parents of nine children.
