Gordon T. Watts
Gordon T. Watts was serving as president of the Philippines Quezon City Mission at the time of his call as a General Authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a member of the Second Quorum of the Seventy from April 1998 until October 2004. He also served twice as a bishop, twice as a stake president, and also served as a stake presidency counselor and Regional Representative.
Watts was born in South Weber, Utah, on February 23, 1935. He earned a degree from Weber State College, served in the US Armed Forces, then served as a missionary to the Hawaiian Islands. He later earned his bachelor’s degree in business and education from Utah State University. For thirty-two years, he worked for the Ford Motor Company in various sales and marketing managerial positions.
He and his wife, Connie, are the parents of four children.
