Temple district
For conveneince in the church Temple's have district's that compose of Stakes and District's in the area. Patron's generally go to that temple for work for the living and the dead and Worker's generally come from Stake's and District's residing in that Temple district as well.
Generally the stake's nearest to that particular temple are in that Temple district however part's of one stake may be closer to a temple outside of the district than the stake in that district. Also there may be area's near church headquarter's were some stakes are in the temple district farther away due to the large number of stakes in that area.
Member's of the Temple Presidency generally speak at Stake Conference's in that temple district. And someone is ordained to be a Temple worker for a Temple in there district. However any recommend holder can attend any temple any time it is open. There may be times when it is more conveneint with family to attend a temple out of your district too. Districts for the Temple exist for reason's of order and convenience and a recommend gives you a right to attend any temple in the world.
