North Star is a place of community for Latter-day Saints dealing with issues surrounding homosexual attraction who desire to live in harmony with the teachings of Jesus Christ and the doctrines and values of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It provides resources for teachings of the church leaders on homosexuality, runs discussion groups, runs Northern Lights (a blog about homosexuality) and sponsors the Women of Worth conference, a conference for women married to men with same-sex attractions.

They maintain separate discussion groups for:

  • Men with same-sex attractions
  • Women with same-sex attractions
  • Teens with same-sex attractions
  • Young adults with same-sex attractions
  • Spouses of people with same-sex attractions
  • Friends and family members of people with same-sex attractions
  • People dealing with trangender, intersex or gender identity
  • Potential missionaries with same-sex attractions
  • Married men with same-sex attractions
  • Couples
  • Men struggling with sexual addiction
  • Men who have been sexually abused
  • People with HIV
