Annie Henrie
Annie Henrie, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is a rising artist who works primarily in mixed media of oils, acrylics, charcoal pencil, and gesso texturing. She was born in Manhattan, New York, and visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art frequently with her parents. She is the daughter of illustrator and fine artist Cary Henrie. As a kindergartner, she knew she would be an artist. She learned to paint and draw first from her father and then furthered her education through art classes in public school, several European museums, and Brigham Young University. Annie also studied under Sherrie McGraw in Taos, New Mexico. She earned her BFA in illustration from BYU, from which she also embarked on study abroad courses in England and Italy. She credits serving an LDS mission in England as a guide for her work in the realm of religious art.
Annie Henrie has shown her art since the age of 16. Her work is currently showing in Deseret Book stores, Bronze Coast Gallery in Cannon Beach, Oregon, and Authentique Gallery in St. George, Utah.
