[[Image:William_R_Walker.jpg}300px}thumb|right]] William R. Walker is a former security and investment-banking executive. As of October 2014, he is an emeritus general authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Walker was born on May 25, 1944, in Raymond, Alberta, Canada. He graduated from Brigham Young University and worked for American Express, Citibank, and Barclay’s Bank. He was a member of the board of directors of the Beneficial Financial Group.

He was called to the Second Quorum of the Seventy in 2002 and served for six years. In April 2008, he was called to the First Quorum of the Seventy. He served as the Executive Director of the Temple Department from 2007 to 2014. He was president of the Japan Tokyo South Mission prior to his call as a general authority. He was Area President of the Asia North Area in Tokyo, Japan, and he has been a bishop and stake president. He served a full-time mission to Japan as a young man.

He and his wife, Vicki, are the parents of five children.
