Mark Eastmond is an artist and college curriculum manager for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, of which he is a member.
Eastmond grew up in Orem, Utah. He earned a bachelor's degree in zoology from Brigham Young University and a master's degree in education from Southern Utah University. He has taught Seminary and Institute classes for more than twenty years.
After spending a summer in the Holy Land working on an archaeological excavation near the Sea of Galilee, he spent his spare time in the sacred places from the life of Jesus Christ. He paints from those experiences.
Eastmond and his wife, Becky, are the parents of four children. He is the son of artist Bert Eastmond.
