Lynn G. Robbins
Lynn Grant Robbins is a retired American business owner and General Authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Born October 27, 1952, in Payson, Utah, Robbins was raised in Springville, Utah. He served a full-time mission in Argentina. He later served as president of the Uruguay Montevideo mission (1994–1997).
Robbins received a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and political science from Utah State University and an MBA in world business from the American Graduate School of International Management in Glendale, Arizona. He was one of the founders of the Franklin Institute, which later became Franklin Quest and eventually Franklin Covey.
He was called to serve in the Second Quorum of the Seventy on April 5, 1997. Three years later he became a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy. As part of his assignments, he served in the general presidency of the Church’s Young Men organization from 2003 to 2004 and executive director of the Media Services department in 2011. In April 2014, he was sustained to the Presidency of the Seventy and served there until July 31, 2018. He serves as chairman of the JustServe Steering Committee and is a member of the JustServe Advisory Committee. He is the priesthood adviser of the Welfare and Self-Reliance Services Department and Assistant Executive Director of the Correlation Department. He is a member of the Area and Scriptures Committees.
Robbins and his wife, Jan Nielson, are the parents of seven children.
