Kenneth Beesley

Kenneth H. Beesley is a professor and administrator. He was president of the LDS Business College from 1986 until his retirement in 1991. While president, he restored the college’s former mansion surroundings as well as updated the business machines and curriculum, and added new faculty. His great-grandfather, Karl G. Maeser, was the first president of the college.

Prior to that position, he was director of International and Administrative Services for the Materials Management Department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and also worked for ten years with the Office of the Church Commissioner of Education under Neal A. Maxwell.

Beesley attended Brigham Young University and earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah. He received his master’s and doctorate from Columbia University and worked for ten years at Columbia’s Teacher’s College. He then worked as executive dean and director of Institutional Studies at Fresno State College.

Beesley and his wife, Donna, are the parents of five children.
