Becky Holliday Mormon Athlete

Becky Holliday is an Olympic pole vaulter. She placed second at the 2012 Olympic trials in Eugene, Oregon, with a clearance of 4.55 meters. At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, England, she placed ninth in the finals. She was a two-time USA Outdoor bronze medalist (2013, 2014).

Holliday was born on March 12, 1980, and was a gymnast early in her career and a four-time state champion in the all-around category in the 12-16 age group. She was also a three-time regional champion. She began pole vaulting during high school. She won the Nevada state title in her second year of competing. After high school she competed at Clackamas Community College and University of Oregon. Her personal best is 4.60 meters, set in 2010 in Des Moines, Iowa.

She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
