Marlene Bateman Mormon Author

Marlene Bateman, who also writes under her name Marlene Bateman Sullivan, is a prolific author of many newspaper and magazine articles and several books.

Her early books include Latter-day Saint Heroes and Heroines and Brigham’s Boys.

Other titles are:

She has written a number of books about angelic experiences, including And There Were Angels Among Them, Visits From Beyond the Veil, and By the Ministering of Angels.

She contributed to the volume Random Sampler.

Marlene grew up in Sandy, Utah, where her father raised minks and gladiolus. While raising her seven children with her husband, Kelly, she ran a florist shop for ten years. She attended Dixie College, Utah State University, and earned her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Utah.
