Dennis A. Wright is the coauthor of Saints at War: Experiences of Latter-day Saints in World War II. Wright’s father was a veteran of World War II. His work with coauthor Robert C. Freeman also resulted in a KBYU documentary, a veterans conference held at Brigham Young University in November 2001, and an online collection of selected stories.

The effort also expanded to include the Korean conflict, the Vietnam War, and more recent conflicts.[1] It is an official partner of the Veterans History Project of the Library of Congress.

Wright received a Creative Works Award with Freeman from BYU for their contribution to the Saints at War documentary film series.[2]

Wright is an emeritus professor of Church history and doctrine at Brigham Young University. He was also a teacher and administrator in the Church Educational System.

He holds a PhD from Arizona State University in clinical education.
