Mormon Larry Richman
Larry Richman is a project management executive with nearly 30 years experience. Author of 13 books, seven book translations, and articles in professional magazines and journals. Web product manager, Internet strategist, and Web marketing specialist. President of a publishing company. Translator in three languages.

Project management

Richman is the Director of the Publications and Media Project Office at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he directs over 8,000 projects (printed, audiovisual, Web content, events, and worldwide satellite broadcasts) yearly in up to 185 languages. Coordinates planning, approvals, prioritization, writing, creation, translation, production, printing, and international distribution in 105 offices worldwide. Develops and implements computer-assisted project management systems. 2004 to present: Directed the integration of processes for planning, producing, and implementing products and services (printed, audiovisual, Internet, IT systems, events) across six departments (Audiovisual, Correlation, Curriculum, Information and Communications Systems, Materials Management [translation, printing, and distribution], and Physical Facilities [events].

Richman is a certified PMP (Project Management Professional), consultant, and trainer to hundreds of employees of Fortune 500 companies. He has authored five books on project management, including two college texts. Richman has been keynote speaker at professional conferences.

Product Management

In June 2008, Richman became a Certified Product Manager and a Certified Product Marketing Manager from the Association of International Product Marketing & Management (AIPMM). He has experience product managing publications, as well as major Web sites for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Publishing

Richman is the President and CEO of Century Publishing, a small publishing company in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He has also authored 13 books, several book translations, and articles in professional magazines and journals. His latest booklet is Learning Through Life's Trails. He is a translator and interpreter in three languages.

Internet

As Director of Internet Coordination for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from June 2003 to December 2008, Richman coordinated the content and services of Church Web sites and related applications. He was the product manager of LDS.org and helped coordinate and synergize the work of the product managers of all Church Web sites. The Church’s Web properties consist of hundreds of domain names and tens of thousands of Web pages (plus over a million documents in the Gospel Library). Church Web sites are read by millions of people each month.

He managed a redesign and rebuild of LDS.org in 2003-2007, including implementing XML, metadata standards, common taxonomy, a content management system, and new Web search tools.

Larry Richman (also known as ldsWebguy) is the lead author at LDS Media Talk, a blog that shares ideas with LDS parents and youth who are interested in learning how to use technology to strengthen families and build The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The blog was begun July 5, 2006 as ldsWebguy.com and was rebranded LDSMediaTalk.com on June 10, 2008 when additional authors joined the blog.

Evergreen International

Since August 1993, Richman has served as the CEO and Chairman of the Board of the non-profit Evergreen International, Inc. Evergreen provides education, guidance, and support to individuals who want to diminish same-gender attraction (also known as same-sex attraction or homosexuality) and overcome homosexual behavior. It is also a resource to family, friends, professional counselors, and religious leaders.
