Jenny Phillips
Jenny Phillips is a popular singer of religious songs and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Mormon or LDS Church. Jenny has wanted to sing spiritually-oriented music since she was a child. Now, she is one of the most requested artists in the LDS music industry. She has released nine albums, and performed across the United States and internationally at more than 1,000 performances. Stories of change and testimony follow wherever she goes.
Jenny graduated from Brigham Young University in 1999, and shortly after, released an independent album. Her music is released now on the Deseret Book label, and she has aimed much of her music (4 of her 9 albums) toward the youth of the Church. She has desired for years to make spiritual music available to youth all over the world. Jenny has performed her music in 16 countries, and her music has been translated into 15 different languages. Her music has been performed by LDS youth groups in more than 30 nations.
- During the creation of her second and third albums, Phillips formed a choir to tour with her. They began small—only eight members performing twice a month, but by the time Phillips released her fourth album, Journey toward Zion, in 2004, the group had grown to 140 rotating members performing more than 200 times each year.
