David Glen Hatch, Mormon musician and teacher

David Glen Hatch is an international performer, concert, and recording artist currently residing in Orem, Utah. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Dr. Hatch was nominated for two 1999 Grammy Awards for Best Classical Album and Best Instrumental Soloist with Orchestra. He was also nominated in 2003 for Best Patriotic album for Let Freedom Ring, an album of Hatch's piano arrangements combined with orchestra, choir, and army band, honoring the heroes of the September 11, 2001, tragedies in New York City. He has performed as a soloist and guest artist in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

A graduate of Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree in Music, he went on to receive his master's degree in Music and Doctor of Music Arts degrees from the Conservatory of Music, University of Missouri—Kansas City, where he graduated summa cum laude.

Dr. Hatch has been a frequent competition juror and clinician and has held lectures and master classes both in the United States and abroad.

In addition to his own performances and awards, Dr. Hatch has had numerous students compete and perform locally, nationally, and internationally, and several have gone on to pursue music careers at music schools and conservatories such as The Manhattan School of Music, The Juilliard School, Indiana Jacobs School of Music, University of Michigan, the Oberlin Conservatory in Ohio, the University of California at Fullerton, University of Utah, and Utah State University.

David Glen Hatch has published five volumes of hymn and Christmas arrangements for the solo artist and has numerous religious, classical, and modern recordings available for purchase.
