Michael Flynn
Michael Flynn is a Mormon filmmaker whose most recent film (2011) is Midway to Heaven, an adaptation of a book by Mormon writer Dean Hughes. Flynn directed, produced, and co-wrote the film. Born Michael Lawrence Flynn on 28 September 1947, in Meriden, Connecticut, USA, Flynn has also been an actor. His roles include playing Pontius Pilate in 1999's To This End Was I Born (also known as The Lamb of God). Flynn also directed and produced the very well made The Best Two Years, the story of four missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in the Netherlands.
Flynn's film credits as an actor span many years and types of films, including Mormon films The Home Teachers, The Testaments, and The Book of Mormon Movie, as well as the familiar TV shows Touched by an Angel, Promised Land, and Everwood.
Flynn has also done live acting on stage including 1776, Camelot, and The Music Man. Flynn is the director of The Actors Workshop, sponsoring classes in Provo and Salt Lake City in his home state of Utah.
