Matt Glenn:Mormon Artist
Matt Glenn is an artist and sculptor who primarily sculpts bronze monuments. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In his childhood in Orange County, California, he drew his idols, then superheroes and bodybuilders. As an adult, he sculpts heroes such as firefighters, soldiers, and police officers. He created his first sculpture when he was 25 after he became intrigued by the sculptures of a family friend. Legendary lawman Porter Rockwell was the subject of his first sculpture and within a year he was commissioned to sculpt.
Glenn’s sculptures are known for their realistic textures and emotions. He creates monuments for municipalities, schools, and private organizations.
He also creates sculptures for his father, Steven Glenn, who is a church history buff and has a collection of historical church artifacts. Both Glenns have joined forces with artist Dee Jay Bawden to open a gallery called Mormon Art and Bronze in Provo, Utah.
Glenn and his wife, Lori, are the parents of five boys. They live in Utah.
