John "Jack" Morford is a sculptor who uses his sculptures to create visual parodies of the human condition. He categories his work as “whimsically abstract pieces.”[1]
Morford grew up in Saginaw, Michigan. After high school graduation, he attended the Art Institute of Chicago. He also studied art at Ricks College (now Brigham Young University–Idaho). He earned a Master of Fine Arts degree at the Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, California.
Three of his pieces appear in the atrium staircase of the Harold B. Lee Library at Brigham Young University.
He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His wife, Mary Jane, passed away in 2003.
