Amy L. Williams is a population geneticist and computer scientist. She is an assistant professor in the Biological Statistics and Computational Biology department at Cornell University.
Williams received two Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Utah. She earned a SM (scientiae magister) degree in 2005 in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She obtained her PhD in 2010 in Computer Science from MIT. She was a postdoctoral research associate at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, conducting work at Columbia University. She was also a postdoctoral research fellow at Harvard Medical School.
