Erich Willi Kopischke is a General Authority and member of the First Quorum of the Seventy. He was sustained on March 31, 2007. He had previously served as a member of the Third Quorum of the Seventy and an Area Seventy.

Kopischke earned a degree in business and had also been an insurance broker and managing director of a nationwide insurance company in Germany. He was the Seminary and Institute coordinator for Europe. He also taught Institute and served as the area director for the Central Europe Area.

He was born on October 20, 1956, in Elmshorn, West Germany. Just two months before his birth, his parents, Kurt Kopischke and Helga Haupt, fled East Germany.

Kopischke served as a full-time missionary in the Germany Munich Mission where he learned English. He later presided over the Germany Berlin Mission. He has served in many other callings, including stake president, district president, branch president, and high councilor.

He and his wife, Christiane, are the parents of seven children.
