Tarsha Joyner is an amateur baker who competed on the Food Network’s Christmas Cookie Challenge, which aired in November 2015. She won the three-part competition and took home $10,000 in prize money. After the competition, Joyner saw her cookie sales increase online and at farmers markets.

Joyner became interested in baking while a graphic artist student at Lynchburg College in Virginia. One of her projects required her to create a brand for a product line. She learned how to bake and design cookies for her imaginary business and in January 2016 opened Mrs. Joy's Absolutely Fabulous Treat Shoppe. She also sells donuts, custom cakes, candies, caramels, and other treats. Decorated cookies are her specialty. She plans on publishing a recipe book sometime in 2016.
