Carolee Beckham: Mormon Photographer
Carolee Coy Beckham is a lifestyle and portrait photographer. She also teaches photography at Utah Valley University.
She fell in love with photography when she received a camera on her thirteenth birthday. As a senior in high school she took photography courses and knew then that she wanted to take photos for the rest of her life. She earned her BFA in fine art photography from Brigham Young University-Idaho.
Since then she has developed an artistic and documentary style and has created a few photographic series, including her American series, her Couples series, and her Paris series. She prefers capturing an image as perfect as possible and uses digital techniques sparingly.
She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband are the parents of one child.
