Seth Adam Smith is an internationally acclaimed Alaskan-born writer. He is a best-selling, award-winning author and blogger whose writings have been translated into over thirty languages and featured on Huffington Post, Good Morning America, Fox News, CNN, the Today Show, Forbes, and many other news outlets around the world. In 2013, his blog post “Marriage Isn't for You”, received over thirty million hits and was translated into over twenty languages. In 2015, his book Your Life Isn’t for You was awarded a gold medal for an inspirational memoir.
He is the editor-in-chief of ForwardWalking.com. Surviving a suicide attempt in 2006, Seth has learned that the best way to healing is to help others move forward in life by sharing the "northern lights of life." He admits that he frequently struggles with depression and that he has learned that the best way to deal with his depression is to "keep a fire burning within and move forward with faith." He is an advocate for resources and understanding concerning depression and suicide prevention and regularly writes about these topics in his books and on his blog. He has said, "Life is difficult and painful, but if you keep moving forward the final destination makes all of the pain worth it." He further remarks, "We can achieve the fullest measure of life by living it for others. . .. I have learned that I always feel happier and healthier when I offer genuine love to other people. . .. Like small seeds, small deeds can make a big difference."[1]

Seth is the author of four books - Your Life Isn't for You: A Selfish Person’s Guide to Being Selfless, Marriage Isn't for You: It's for the One You Love, Rip Van Winkle and the Pumpkin Lantern (Vol. 1), and You, Unstuck: You Are the Solution to Your Greatest Problem. He is currently working on a series of historical novels set in Colonial America. Since 2004, Seth has produced hundreds of videos and articles for businesses, non-profit companies, artists, and political causes. He also has a YouTube channel.
Seth Adam Smith is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Although he was born in Alaska, he was raised in the American West. He is the youngest child of D. Paul and Lyn Smith. He married his wife, Kim, in 2011 after knowing each other since they were 15. They and their daughter currently live in Florida. He has also worked as a Trail Walker with the Anasazi Foundation.
